NYC goes to the countryside—in this wedding I’ll never get over the fluttering of fabric and flowers mixing with quivering nostrils and tossing manes.

Abbie grew up in the south but met Henry when working in NYC. Since they were getting married at an equestrian center in her hometown, Abbie wanted to create an event that felt true to their love of the outdoors while also honoring the big city roots of her soon to be husband. They wanted a fun and beautiful party.

She asked to use yellow flowers. This brought a southern warmth to the event. I chose floral varieties that helped to emphasize the bride’s romantic, whimsical style while structuring them in a way that would hold up with the big city trends.

The couple and many of their family and friends flew in from NYC to attend this wedding at the Windwood Equestrian Center. Elizabeth Carlisle Events served as the planner, rentals were from Prophouse, photos by Rachel and Noah Ray, dress by Half Penny London.
