The strength, love, and fun of this couple oozed from every wedding decision. It was a delight to go through the process with them and to provide florals that honored who they are.

The planner’s initial inquiry asked for all white flowers and lots and lots of candles but her last comment was that I could “flex my creative muscle.” The couple wanted something modern but still artful for their city wedding that would also honor his Jewish heritage.

I guided them into a color palette that, while still void entirely of green, included some “black” flowers in order to break up the white which can appear flat without the contrast of foliage or another color. The stark contrast of the brown/black and white blooms still reads modern while the intentional clustered structure of the arrangements makes each piece feel like a living work of art.
